"What's Happening on Social Media" Training

Welcome to explore the world of social media—specifically, what children and young people do there, what they are exposed to, and the behaviors they might engage in themselves. The training is tailored to the client's needs, whether aimed at teaching staff, students, or guardians (e.g., for a parent-teacher evening). It can be conducted either remotely or in person, with a duration of 1–3 hours.

Training topics:

- What social media means today: Which apps young people are currently using and how they work.
- What dangers exist on social media: How any of us can be scammed, and why people fall for scams. What one can be exposed to on social media and how it can affect a person.
- Crimes one can easily commit on social media: We examine typical online activities among young people through examples and see how easily one can commit offenses such as defamation, incitement to a crime, or the unauthorized distribution of sexual images.
- What criminal liability means in practice.
- What teachers or guardians should pay attention to: Examples illustrate the kinds of changes in a young person’s behavior, attitude, or other aspects of their life that may signal a cause for concern.
- What teaching staff or guardians are permitted and able to do: how best to discuss these matters with a young person, how to limit a child’s phone use, and whether one is allowed to take the phone away.
